What Is Myasthenia Gravis?

Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is an autoimmune condition where antibodies attack receptors of muscles, causing them not to work appropriately. This may cause the eye muscles to tire sooner than normal and, subsequently, cause a double image. Blood tests can sometimes confirm this diagnosis, but, in certain cases even with normal labs, someone can have MG confined to the eye and a trial of medications may prove useful.
