Eye Consultants of Atlanta would like to congratulate Dr. W. Barry Lee for receiving the Gold Medal Award at the June 3, 2016, annual meeting of the Intraocular Implant & Refractive Surgery Society of India (IIRSI) in Chennai, India! Before receiving his award, Dr. Lee presented a variety of topics, including endothelial keratoplasty, cataract surgery, and astigmatism. Dr. Lee can be seen in the accompanying photo with his Gold Medal Award alongside the IIRSI’s Program Director Amar Agarwal and the IIRSI Board of Directors.

Dr. Lee specializes both in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery and is heavily involved in ophthalmologic research, having published over 50 peer-reviewed scientific journals in his field. An impressive list of awards includes the American Academy of Ophthalmologists Achievement Award, as well as the Premier Surgeon 300 List (Ocular Surgery News) and inclusion in America’s Top Ophthalmologists (Consumer Research Council).
