Eye Consultants of Atlanta is proud to announce that two of our physicians appear in the August issue of Modern Luxury Medicine + Doctors magazine among Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine for 2023.
Castle Connolly Top Doctors recognizes Drs. Eileen Wang and Margaret Wong of Eye Consultants of Atlanta for their exceptional leadership and dedication to their field.
The Exceptional Women in Medicine list is compiled through a rigorous selection process that includes peer nominations, extensive research, and evaluation by the Castle Connolly research team. In addition to meeting the criteria to be selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, the 2023 Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine doctors also have additional qualifications, including contributions to healthcare through volunteer work, awards and honors, training at top institutions, contributions to research and academics, and innovations in their field of specialty.

Dr. Eileen Wangis a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Wang earned a degree in pre-medical studies. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson University, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Wang completed an internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center. She received residency training at Wills Eye Institute. Dr. Wang is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She practices at the Peachtree Corners and Lawrenceville locations.
Dr. Margaret Wongis a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the retina, vitreous, and diseases of macular uveitis. A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Wong earned a degree in chemical engineering. She graduated from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Wong completed her internship and residency training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She received a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Eye Consultants of Atlanta. Dr. Wong is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the Department of Ophthalmology at Piedmont Hospital. She practices at the Cumberland and Peachtree Corners locations.
